Have there been any more?

This section of road opened this month
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@50.82041 ... 384!8i8192
It will become the A284 when the rest of the Lyminster Bypass opens (southern section I think will open in 2022 whilst northern section is 2024)

There was the B3800 which opened in Birmingham in May.

From the SABRE Wiki: B3800 :

The B3800 is very short link road in Birmingham, cutting a corner between Harborne Lane and Bristol Road by using Chapel Lane.

It was created in 2021 as part of the Selly Oak Triangle works. With A38 being diverted away from Selly Oak centre along the new Aston Webb Boulevard and taking over part of A4040 along Harborne Lane, including dualling this section up to the Great Oak junction, this left Chapel Lane, which had formerly taken A4040

No wonder it was missed... even the new new signs still direct Swadlincote - Ashby / Leicester traffic via Clock Island and the High Street.

These RIS schemes were supposed to open this year (mostly have but I've not checked them all):

A19 Testos
A19 Norton to Wynyard
A61 Westwood roundabout
M6 junction 19
M6 junctions 13 to 15
A45/A6 Chowns Mill junction
A34 Newbury to Oxford enhancements

The A34 scheme is especially mysterious. I think it was to introduce technology and possibly minor changes to junctions.

M6 J19 has opened recently, but there's still continuing roadworks J13-15 northbound only, although southbound still has a lowered limit despite appearing to be complete.

Prepatory work is supposed to start on dualling all the A66 from Penrith to Scotch Corner this year, with the work completed in 2025. Having been stuck on an S2 section for nearly an hour last year due to an accident and then being stuck behind a tractor for 3 miles, it desperately needs to be improved.

Some of us have been waiting for over 40 years for this, my first A66 trip was on a BSA Bantam in 1969 :)

My first A66 trip was in a Cortina in 1974 and the road was largely S2 and slow and dangerous. Mercifully the S2 section over Stainmore is long gone as this was lethal in bad weather.

They don't plan to start construction until 2024-25.

M4 J8/9 to J12 fully opened second week of December as a smart motorway, so we only have 14 miles of roadworks into London now, not 32 miles.

Court Marsh Road in Deal was opened this year. https://www.kentonline.co.uk/deal/news/ ... it-255975/. It is a developer funded route that enables HGV traffic to access the South wall area without going through narrow residential streets.
