The A413 Wendover By-Pass a few years after completion. The hedge has grown and the road is now hidden from view in the cutting.

The A130 (before and after construction). The first picture shows a field near Howe Green, Chelmsford, Essex. The second picture shows that what was a field is now the A130. The tree and pylons link both pictures.

I remember this being built, especially the cut and cover tunnel. When it was just cut and no cover there was a terrible looking v-shaped notch in the skyline. I didn't realise at the time that there was going to be a tunnel and thought the issues of Twford Down were going to rear up again

When was the Wendover Bypass opened? I took some pictures 21 years ago and the verges were devoid of vegetation but it didn't look that new at the time.

The A413 Wendover By-Pass was built in the late 1990s, I believe it opened in 1998. The HS2 is now being constructed next to it although the section at Wendover is going to be hidden in a cut and cover tunnel

There was a very striking Sabre PotM entry of the tunnel by night shortly after it opened.

I haven't got a lot to add to this topic, because I don't know the roads in question very well, but I'm really enjoying the pictures! Thanks so much for posting them.

The view at Dagenham Dock Station (before and after the construction of the A13 and Channel Tunnel Rail Link). The A13 now goes over the railway here and the station building has been demolished to make way for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link which now runs alongside the railway.
