I'd say so as it replaced the cycling prohibited one with a red circle on top. Plenty of both are still around but the red circles have been removed from all but a couple.

I was hoping to get one of my top few required signs in Hampshire but the view on Google was 8 years old and sadly removed, it was a turn left dual carriageway. I think there was another around Sheffield probably in the gallery but too far for me.

I didn't have access to my usual stool and had to do contortions to get the Huntingdon part as someone put a shed in front of it. Also the branch kept blowing in front of it so this was my best effort- Chatteris.

What a fantastic find
Thanks a lot, it's been on Geograph since 2009 so was on my long list for a while before I got there.

Wow, truly a classic. Almost worth the journey, another we haven't seen online before.

I just rediscovered this on Chris's site, said to be in Stourport. I've spent hours online walking up and down its roads looking for what should be a really easy spot, but nothing. I'm wondering if it's actually not there but in a nearby location, but if anyone knows where it is and if it's still there I will be heading there if so. https://www.roads.org.uk/photo/old-signs

Looks like it is in Lichfield Street, David. Google Streetview showing it was still there last September. If I'm down that way soon I'll get a photo.

Thanks Nick, I've also emailed the hotel there to check as I will go at the weekend if it's there. Good teamwork.

Here's the T junction, the last of two I'm aware of left in England, and the only one I know of at all with the old pointed ends. And I spotted a bonus on the way home.

Have spotted this on Kelston Road a few times

A lovely reference, I think, to the City of Llandaff's heritage as a signposted destination rather than a suburb. The A4054 confuses me as it seems like a modern route created to mark a road through the city and (somewhat separately) the old A470 Cardiff to Merthyr road pre-expressway, but this sign definitely contradicts that. The beauty of these signs is also that they indicate the rough age of the other roads in the region that are in sequence ie Port Rd (A4050), Cardiff Rd (Dinas Powys, A4055) and the A4051 through Cwmbran.

Maybe BBC news presenter Huw Edwards is a secret Sabristo :D as he's just tweeted the following image which includes a PW direction sign which I don't recall seeing before in this thread:

I've just taken a quick look at GSV and it would appear to be this sign.

Another one ticked off the list in Flatford Mill. The old circle above it was replaced with a current one when they decided to keep it as well.
