Can't be sure, but when I drove through Bridgnorth yesterday I don't recall seeing the A442 flag. :(

Edit:

There's a more recent streetview image... indeed, it's gone...

Shame. Hope it's not been stolen.

Hopefully not; it's curious that just one of the two signs has been taken.

I drove straight past that last week. It was pretty dark though.

This one is certainly old (and pretty worn!) but I defer to superior knowledge as to if it meets the criteria;

Street signs aren't really in scope for this - they've always varied a lot between different towns.

Re Rambo's old yellow AA sign, I've run in to a few of these. Here's a very isolated one in south Pembrokeshire.

..and this has adorned the Star Inn at North Dalton, East Yorkshire, for many years, but a few weeks ago I noticed it had gone.

Here are a few more from Yorkshire that I don't think have been posted yet. Firstly, this ancient trio in Helmsley, where the local parish council is very keen on retaining its links with the past.

Here's a well-kept one in the village of Great Barugh near Pickering.

Here's a rather battered one on a minor road east of Boroughbridge.

Here's another one for passing monks (lots of them in Yorkshire) which is opposite a pw sign serving a ford which is now blocked off to vehicles.

I think this one has been posted before but it's so good it deserves another look, along with the only near-equivalent I can think of, which is near Devizes.
Unless you know otherwise!!

Finally, for now, the Great Joy of finding a "new" pw sign in 2021. This is on an old exit from Whitby which is no longer in tourist use, but clearly was back in 1950-whenever (and I hope they found their cat!)

The common theme with all the above is that they're in the county of North Yorkshire, which preserves its PW signs wherever possible, so you'll find them from Bentham and Ingleton in the west to Whitby in the east and all points in between.

Llanellen, Monmouthshire

Most recent StreetView image is from 2011... I'm a little curious about the age of this one, I wonder if it pre-dates the formation of Cwmbran new town?
