It appears to be the end of these old poles in Glasgow as ive noticed shiny new colunms been planted next to them .These must be very old , dont think were tram poles though . Looks like the new ones are still going to be wired .
Some of the lanterns are well over 50 years old, though, and it's a miracle they've lasted so long, as most other cities ditched these fifties and sixties style street lights in the eighties and nineties.
SOX still seems to lingering on in York. I noticed a very old column with a lantern that looked to be of sixties design on Fishergate and some eighties columns along the D2 part.

Yeah , Glasgow has loads of old lanterns . I think they are 1980s lanterns on that bit with MA sand Thorn Alphas 4s .

Since about Tuesday night, the MA60 and Catenary street lights on M1 J5 to J6A have been off.

There should be signs stating the lighting is not in use. Otherwise, there are no roadworks scheduled for this area...

M60 Sox lighting around the Trafford Centre has gone. It has been replaced with LEDS on the verges, following managed motorway upgrade.

Oh dear, it looks like the M1/M25 junction is about to lose its remaining SOX. The catenary just to the south of this junction is still in situ but that must also be living on borrowed time now.

The catenary and mainline MA60s are still there, but no longer in use.

Woodside here in Medway was until 2015 exclusively lit by SOX and probably was the last significant road in Medway to be lit in this way. The SOX lanterns were MA30's mounted on British steel columns with outreach brackets and date from 1987 The MA30 lanterns behind in 2015 were replaced with arc SON lanterns and the brackets shortened which left the remaining 18 columns untouched except for one column and lantern replacement with an arc.

This sadly all changed this week when the remainder of the MA80's were removed and the brackets chopped and in their place have sprouted ex-KCC stock Urbis Axia mk1 lanterns in 6 block 48 LED format which has a cold white light output and are dimmer compared to the Arc lanterns at the other end of the road. Also they look massive on the outreach brackets
