I can give you this one where the middle bit has completely faded (it's not upside down). The rest of the sign doesn't look too bad!

Quite a lot of signs on the A1 in the Rutland area look way past their sell by date

While nowhere as bad as some of the others on this thread, they have lost their reflectivity and on such an important trunk road, you would have expected them to have been replaced years ago

I suspect there is no money in the pot to replace worn out and faded road signs unless they prove to be dangerously misleading due to their condition. The one I submitted is still clear what it means.

One minor signpost in Lincoln directing to the prison car park from Greetwell Road was completely rusty and the actual sign was really faded - they have since been replaced.

On my trip today, I saw this one on the B2087 before its junction with the A21. Even more of the letters are gone since the streetview shot was taken. I don't know if they are peeling off or the Flimwell locals are removing them.

Some of the signs on the Thurrock stretch of the A13, and approaches, are just awful.

Saw this pair of no entry signs in St Albans today. The rh one is even worse than is shown in street view now. I reckon it probably dates from about the same time as the building next to it.

It almost looks like a Streetview stitching glitch, but this was taken with my own camera.

The font is a different size on the right and Berkhamsted was clearly at the top making the shown destination a nonsense now. A missing or stolen new panel? A41 at Tring.

The rollerblind section at the top (presumably for closures of the Avonmouth Bridge?) must make it a custom job - maybe it's tricky to replace and keeps getting deferred?

I saw that last night. 18 months and nothing has been done by whoever is responsible.

Old thread revival time!
Here's a pretty old 40 sign near Banstead. Probably dates from when the bypass was built?

If you skip streetview forward to 2016 (here), you can see the corresponding old 30 on the other side of the post as it's been smashed into at some point.

Pre-worboys speed limit signs. Now rare, but there's a repeater of that age on the other side of Banstead on the A2022 I posted in another thread.
