I'm pretty sure that flag signs pointing up aren't allowed. And it's not just been mounted sideways, as the "P" is the right way up.

Thanks for replying, Chris and SteelCamel.

Now you've mentioned it, SC, it's obviously a rotated flag sign, I couldn't quite see it before but knew it wasn't right.

Chris, I know the blue signs are obsolete but didn't realise these were incorrect even when new, due to the font.

Correct, they're not allowed, this is someone trying to be clever and failing miserably.

Back to this one. I posted it last year. M62 Jct 9. A few weeks ago i noticed it had gone but lo and behold today i passed and it has been put back up, in the same state on new posts. Couldn't believe it! Who has responsibility for entry slip signs? HE or local ?

Warrington highways splash out on all sorts of fancy stuff lately but this..
The sign is in a shockingly bad state. Next time i pass i'm going to get another snap of it..

Managed to stop by today. M62 Jct 9 eastbound entry slip. Surely this sign was not worth re hanging :o

This one has been posted before. I least a GSV image IIRC. Along the A58 just by the M6 Jct 24 in Ashton in Makerfield.
