I think this is fairly old https://maps.app.goo.gl/Mxzjd69KbRpMkej89 and it's a bit more manky than in the GSV photo.

Passed this today https://maps.app.goo.gl/iZ1f15RmPZg4i6aS6 and it's even a bit more faded and weatherbeaten than in this link.

Ah the Cross Foxes. used to pass here regularly years ago. Certainly a great drive from here down towards Talyllyn Lake or towards to Corris / Mach.
I really ought to take a trip around there for nostalgia as i've only starting capturing road signs in the last couple of years.

This one stood out to me when I went to get my Covid vaccine at Bishop Auckland last week - it looked far worse than it did in 2016 here!

I thought tourist signs were supposed to be brown.

Given the length of this thread it's possible this sign has been posted before. However, given I drove past it the other day I felt it was worth mentioning.

All tourist signs are brown but some are more brown than others.

Another feast for the eyes....I've not seen one of these for ages. Do the AA still put signs out?

Was looking at these faded chevrons the other day. Theyre made of metal, screwed to a wooden fence and look pretty old.

I think these went out of the TSRGD a while ago.
There is probably loads of obsolete stuff on these quiet country lanes. But are they still there? A lot of GSV images were recorded around 2009 but some of these places haven't had a visit since..
Rambo, this is the only link that I posted for which I hadn't actually seen the sign and I said that I'd hopefully be in that area soon and would let you know if it was still there. Well, I passed it just last week and it has, unfortunately, been replaced by a current 2T sign. Boring!
