A sign near me points to udder field (and is incorrectly patched: the A641 is not primary.)

Also:
David Thorne of 27bslash6.com wrote:A street I drive past every day is called 'Anhus Street' and is very distracting. Every few weeks, someone (I am assuming a kid) spraypaints out the 'h' making it read anus and then a few days later, someone (I am assuming an elderly street resident) paints the 'h' back in. If I was boss of the world I would change that street name legally to anus street to annoy both of them.

When I was a young lad living in Hampshire, the sign here (which has since been replaced to include the recycling symbol) had the word "on" sprayed at the end. Which I found amusing, being about 14 years old.

Not a road sign but transport related - a sign on a door on the Isle of Arran ferry was altered from PRIVATE CREW ONLY to PRIMATE CREW ONLY.

Not a road sign unfortunately, but this rather large one was done a year or so ago in Dublin

Apparently the signs for Shilbottle often get the first "l" slightly amended.

The signs on Manchester's Canal Street often gets this treatment, not helped by the fact it's the main road of the Gay Village.

You have to admit that is a stupid name to give to a little cul-de-sac of old people's bungalows.... Suffice to say it regularly acquires a "C" from some little miscreant's marker pen

"Please Drive Carefully" seems to become "Please Die Carefully" quite a lot

In the childish category, it always makes me laugh to see how people have 'modified' the street sign on the A690 at 'Low Jobs Hill' near Crook, County Durham

One I remembered yesterday from many years ago: "Public footpath", "l" missing.

Around the same time this was repeatedly changed to "No Barking Please"

That's actually pretty funny - it makes a change from "LENX!", "NOTO!", "RISE RAST REK! REK!" and the other utter gibberish that gets spray-painted around Sheffield. There must be a lot of lead in the water round there.

For many years this sign https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.35822 ... 312!8i6656 was altered so that it read 'Fatness and Kebab centre'
