Friends of the M2 zebra posts

Post by Median »

There are two black and white striped posts in the central reservation of the M2 about a mile apart:

They look like Belisha beacon posts and seem out of place on a motorway. Are these the only such posts on the motorway network? They look unloved and in need of straightening, so I fear that they are not much longer for this world. That's why I am proposing to set up a "Friends of the M2 zebra posts" group to keep an eye on them. Anyone willing to share the administrative burden?

I started a topic on these poles here
I don't think they're Belisha beacon posts.
As Ben302 said, they're probably from construction works.

What about the M25?

The A205 - The road to... oh wait I should've turned right back there!

Far more likely to be a fixed distance for Police speed recording.
