Located just after the regionally infamous bottleneck at the northern end of the Elland Bypass the junction is the meeting of the A629, A6026, and B6112.

Shame, didn't mind the old metal posts. The fittings in the pictures are MA50's I believe. The area in both Calderdale and Kirklees had MA50's and some old Eleco's fitted.

I've just run an errand for a family member living in Cornholme (on the A646 heading from Todmorden to Burnley but still within Calderdale) and the terraced sidestreets off the A646 have been converted to LED. These are the first ones I've spotted in the Upper Calder Valley, apart from odd replacement ones (there are two on Victoria Road, Todmorden).

LED's are starting to become increasingly common, unfortunately. Doncaster removed a bunch of Alpha 3's in the town centre and a few MA60's. Shame.
Remember when I went down to Pembrokeshire. I was in Cardigan some years ago and remember some great SOX fittings. I came back down summer 2017 and LEDS had taken over: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.08320 ... 312!8i6656
The whole of Oldham and Rochdale have had a huge clear out of old stock and those have all gone.
Shame. I believe in Tameside a SOX fitting was swapped for a SON this year. Actually, 4 were in the same patch. Two of 4 replaced were completely different makes?
Within the M25, I can confirm the following locations still have the MA SOX lanterns:
M1 – mainline only from Junction 5 (Berrygrove) to the 31.0 marker
M1 – Slip roads of Junction 6 (Waterdale)
M1/M25 - Slip roads of Junction 6A (Chiswell) – in process of being removed or replaced, but most remain
M25 – Slip roads of Junction 25 (Waltham Cross)
A282 - southern slip roads and a short mainline section south of Junction 31 (Purfleet).
A406 – Two MA50s with integral gear, and one MA90 with integral gear, on the south western slip road (Great Cambridge Road)
As I have seen them in person, I have programmed the surviving instances to OpenStreetMap, and the result can be found at http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/uJ0. Sadly, I expect all of these to be gone by the end of this year.

I plan to preserve a set of MA lanterns, but I know I have to do it legally. All I can say for now is … we’ll see.

I have a brand new SRS201 for 90w lamps (MA90) with gear-in-head, so it's an MA50 body. I also have four new 90w lamps in storage. Perhaps someday when I find myself a nice place, with a decent-sized lawn, I'll get a column installed with power to use it.
This bit of road just outside East Kilbride still has MA s and Thorn Alpha 4s , if im guessing they date from 1988 . But one side was MA s and the other Alphas.

Rare to see. When I went to South Lanarkshire a majority of it was lit by LED. Surprising indeed.
