Hello
I was out walking in hereford today and came across these things,they look like rockets but certainly are not that, here they are circled in red:

Hi There. You're going to have to give us a bit more to go on - perhaps a link to a Google Streetview image?

Seriously, with my birding hat on, I can't think of an obvious use for such a structure. Artificial nesting sites for Sand Martins have occasionally been used, but they are set into banks to mimic a sandy cliff-face. Also, putting any bird nesting structure quite so close to a footpath seems unlikely. Actually, it may not be an official footpath but looks well-trodden. I couldn't rule out an insect habitat, though.

I have emailed the wye wildlife protection society and had no reply, however they look as though they could be air quality sensors
