Recently when I was traveling around Crawley, West Sussex, I noticed that on the A2011 eastbound that signage is of primary route nature, both for ADS, Countdown Markers & Flagpost signs on leading junction. However in the other direction, it is all non-primary. Is it possible for a dual carriageway to be primary route in one direction, but not the other?
I'd presume they have done this as drivers leaving the town can get out by following the primary route signage (whether they know they are doing it or not), but not the other way to because it its a strategic route.
