Thanks to drm567, there's now two lots of maps uploaded in two days!

The one that's been uploaded is one of my favourites - it's Sheet 172 (Chatham and Maidstone) Revision A/* from 1961. It's unusual because it's one of the rare sheets where two were published in a single year, and the following A/*/ revision was published just a couple of months later.

The later sheet is available on the 1962 layer, so can you see why a second revision was rushed out? As a hint, it's something to do with a then brand-new road...

Can I mention that yesterday you mentioned some new maps being uploaded on the 1954 layer. Problem is, there is no 1954 layer!
My old posts are just downright embarrassing.

Ah, not that you can see....

Yeah, erm, it's there, it's just that we've had to revert to the old menus to solve some bugs with the new ones, so it (along with the 1952 and 1953 layers) is not actually visible at the moment.

OK, thanks to the menus on Maps now being sorted out by our Development Team, we now have the 1952, 1953 and 1954 One Inch layers added on.

They comprise:

1954
Sheet 136 (Bury St Edmunds) Revision A
Sheet 145 (Banbury) Revision A
Sheet 146 (Buckingham) Revision A
Sheet 156 (Bristol and Stroud) Revision A

1953
Sheet 101 (Manchester) Revision A
Sheet 111 (Buxton and Matlock) Revision A
Sheet 131 (Birmingham) Revision A

1952
Sheet 100 (Liverpool) Revision 4012
Sheet 107 (Snowdon) Revision 4014
Sheet 154 (Cardiff) Revision 4004

Some of these were previously partially available on the "Seventh Series" layer, but here they are in their full glory.

I’ve noticed you’ve added menu links into the 70s. Are they just in hand for future copyright releases??

No, there are out of copyright maps on every available layer, thanks to the way OS calculate their copyright dates.

One more addition today, thanks to C2R.

It's the initial revision (4020) of Sheet 155 (Bristol and Newport), with the unique print codes used by the OS for a few post-war years. It can be found on the 1953 layer.

Thanks for scanning. Look forward to overlaying it on osm mspnik layer when I'm back on dry land in a couple of days!

And another addition today (well, when it finishes uploading anyway...), again thanks to C2R for lending me the map to scan.

This is Sheet 161 (London NE), and the A/ revision dating from 1960.

One thing I have noticed from this sheet is the strange showing of West Ham station as being closed; yet the known A revision before it has it open (not surprisingly), but the "best guess" B revision after it that's on the full Seventh Series layer has it open as well; and it's open on modern mapping. Did something odd happen with this station, or is it a mapping error?

And again thanks to C2R, the next map in the batch is Sheet 25 (Portree) Revision A/, now available on the 1963 layer.

That has allowed us to confirm that the revision on the full Seventh Series layer is definitely the A revision from 1957, meaning that we can now add this sheet to the list of those for which we have every revision ever produced online.

The A revision will therefore be added to the 1957 annual layer shortly.

EDIT: And that's done, along with a couple of other maps from the full Seventh Series layer that were waiting to be done.
