OS One Inch Scottish Popular Edition
These maps are quite odd to deal with. They differ from the pre-war revisions by having road numbers printed on them, and also by having the National Grid on them too.
However, they're still the old pre-war series on the old pre-war layout, so whilst there's National Grid lines on them, they're actually on the old Cassini Delamere projection (the same as the England and Wales MoT maps are), so if you look carefully, you'll see that the Grid is actually set somewhat skew to the maps. That's not an error in the georeferencing processes, that's actually how the physical sheets look.
Anyway, the first three sheets are available on that 1951 layer:
* Sheet 41 (Glen Sheil and Glen Garry) Revision 2341
* Sheet 44 (Ballater and Strathdon) Revision 2342
* Sheet 77 (Island of Arran) Revision 2347
As long as people like them, then there's plenty more where these came from back to 1946 - and there's a new Coverage Project page on the SABRE Wiki, so if anyone has any that aren't in the pipeline already and you're willing to donate map scans (or lend me the maps for some time in order to get scanning completed, and then have them returned to you), then please shout!

Re: OS One Inch Scottish Popular Edition
It's Sheet 57, Forfar and Dundee revision 2339. Quite a lot to see here - especially in comparing the road numbering around Dundee from now to then - I'm not convinced there's much that's the same at all!

Re: OS One Inch Scottish Popular Edition
* Sheet 4 (South Mainland Shetlands) Revision 2204
* Sheet 6 (Orkney Islands Mainland) Revision 2206
* Sheet 14 (Stornaway) Revision 2214
* Sheet 23 (Benbecula) Revision 2223
* Sheet 34 (The Cuillins, Rhum and Canna) Revision 2331
* Sheet 45 (Aberdeen) Revision 2311
* Sheet 50 (Glen Clova and Lochnagar) Revision 2315
* Sheet 54 (Loch Etive and Glen Coe) Revision 2325
* Sheet 63 (Perth and Strath Earn) Revision 2320
* Sheet 87 (Newton Stewart) Revision 2304
That brings the total of sheets for which we have every post-war civilian colour revision available to 5. 4 are new here, and the fifth is the "cheat" of Sheet 89 that was never re-issued post-war as it was entirely covered by New Popular Edition sheets.

Re: OS One Inch Scottish Popular Edition
We've now reached 1947, and there was a need for new mapping after WW2, and that process was still going full steam ahead at this time.
So.... there's 34 Scottish Popular Edition maps on this layer. Most of northern and western Scotland is covered, and a lot of the map sheets only ever had a single post-war SPE revision, so that's a lot added to the "every revision ever online" list...
10 Tongue - Revision 2210
11 Thurso and Reay - Revision 2211
12 Wick - Revision 2212
13 Loch Roag and Tarbert - Revision 2213
15 Lochinver and Loch Assynt - Revision 2215
16 Lairg and Loch Shin - Revision 2216
17 Helmsdale - Revision 2217
19 Ullapool and Loch Ewe - Revision 2219
20 Strath Oykell - Revision 2220
21 Dornoch - Revision 2221
22 Sollas - Revision 2222
25 Raasay and Applecross - Revision 2225
26 Loch Maree and Achnasheen - Revision 2226
27 Strathpeffer and Invergordon - Revision 2227
29 Elgin and Keith - Revision 2229
32 Lochboisdale and Eriskay - Revision 2232
33 Bara and Mingulay - Revision 2233
35 Sound of Sleat - Revision 2235
36 Lochcarron and Dornie - Revision 2236
37 Inverness - Revision 2237
38 Grantown-on-Spey and Strath Dearn - Revision 2238
42 Fort Augustus - Revision 2242
46 Ardnamruchan and Loch Shiel - Revision 2246
48 Loch Ericht and Loch Laggan - Revision 2248
49 Grampian Mountains and Blair Atholl - Revision 2249
52 Coll and Tiree - Revision 2252
53 Sound of Mull - Revision 2253
55 Killin and Loch Rannoch - Revision 2255
56 Denkeld and Pitlochry - Revision 2256
71 Island of Bute - Revision 2299
72 Glasgow - Revision 2307
73 Falkirk and Motherwell - Revision 2292
83 Loch Doon - Revision 2296
88 Dumfries - Revision 2298
Sheets 83 and 88 are actually inferred to be from 1947 - the usual works to help with this sort of thing list those maps, but don't come up with a good date for them. The maps themselves aren't much help as everything that you would normally use is identical to the 1945 revision of those maps. Fortunately, OS at the time had the "unique number" revision scheme, where every map revision (pretty much) was allocated its own unique print code, and from this the date of 1947 has been inferred, so please be careful when using items on these sheets to date road improvements etc.
(and yes, whoever is paying attention, that means that there's 95 maps in total gone on that layer!)

Re: OS One Inch Scottish Popular Edition
When going through the relevant Coverage Project list of maps we have, I saw I'd missed out a sheet! It's another one of those where the usual works don't have the exact date of the map, so it's been inferred from the unique code.
It's now been added, so you can additionally enjoy:
64 Dundee and St. Andrews - Revision 2294
As a reminder, if you have copies of any of the sheets shown in white, then please consider donating map scans to allow other people to also enjoy them.
