B5312

Post by Dave908 »

The B5312 starts off as the main route into Skelmersadle Town centre. The road starts at a large roundabout with the A577 (which has a huge amount of room for a flyover). It then heads westwards, and has two GSJ's with local accesses and pedestrian overbridges. The road then approaches an elongated roundabout called 'Bone Island'. At 'Bone Island' there is yet more room for a flyover. The road carries on westwards, where it turns into an S2 road. There are two roundabouts with accesses to industrial estates. After this there is a new roundabout with a small housing estate, after which the road heads north-westerly. There is a T-junction, where ahead takes you along the new B5312 for a short distance until it meets the A577 again, or you can turn left onto the original B5312, which takes you through the countryside. The original B5312 terminates at the A570 rounadbout, just next tojunction 3 of the M58.

Very interesting that the 'Bone Island' junction has the hedges running up along the road stubs...
B110 is my local arterial.
