For example, I very much don't like Mullacrew Cross Roads in Ireland as it really isn't obvious where the priority lies. Equally, we're got some horrible junction types that aren't featured anywhere else in the world... How, for example anyone from a country with few roundabouts manages this monstrosity in Ipswich is anyone's guess: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.06518 ... 312!8i6656
Is there a road improvement project going on near you? Help us to document it on the SABRE Wiki - help is available in the Digest forum.

From the SABRE Wiki: Mullacrew Cross Roads :
Mullacrew Cross Roads is a four way stop on the R171 in Mullacrew townland (between Louth and Tallanstown), County Louth
On the junction was sited a pub called The Hill.

Indeed the sign here is very suspect, as it shows the road having priority and then says prepare to stop.c2R wrote:For example, I very much don't like Mullacrew Cross Roads in Ireland as it really isn't obvious where the priority lies.
Visibility was restricted at this junction, but this is an odd solution.
This district also features traffic coming from Tallanstown toward Louth village being signposted off the narrow and twisty section of the R171 on to an L road. Some modest improvements on the R171 would solve both issues.

Re: Me-1
Like Spain, Italy has scores of single-carriageway GSJs. There are even more complex designs, like this stackabout and this freeflow effort.
2 loop (2 adjacent loops, 2 semi-directional or cyclic ramps): https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@41.18828,-8.668788,16z
3 loop (3 loops, 1 semi-directional or cyclic ramp): https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.8567879,5.2298323,16z
Offside (at least one ramp is to/from the offside): https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@48.07259 ... 008481,16z
By my count there are 45 2 loop, 65 3 loop, and 89 offside interchanges in the EU/EFTA: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=37471&p=902581&hili ... es#p902581
Well, yes. For instance, the UK has none of the following common categories of four-way full access freeflow interchanges:Burns wrote:Are there any road junction types present in other countries that we have no examples of at all?
