I stumbled across this one recently and thought I'd share Wisconsin's claim to fame!

I have to point out, however -- sorry to steal Wisconsin's thunder! -- that modern road classification (leaving aside for now the Roman Empire) dates back to 16 December 1811 in France, and systematic numbering of the network was instituted in the same country on 10 July 1824.

France is not a part the World in the American thinking. The World consists of 50 states and, possibly, Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas.
