Before and After
Slightly off-topic: I went through that section in April 2016, going from Paris to Cologne. If I remember correctly, there were some widening works just east of there on the A15 Liege bypass, widening the road from D3M to D4M.

Very impressive. It looks like the three-level roundabout at Strombeek will be replaced with a turbine, and the stack-turbine at Machelen will be completed (only the third of this type in Europe, I believe). There will also be new C/D lane sections between Zellik and Wemmel, Machelen and Zaventum, and Sint and Zaventum, so the whole NW and NE sectors will have four carriageways. Hopefully the Manchester NW sector and M25 SW sector schemes will be something similar :)

N31-N351 in Bruges Construction started yesterday. The last intersection with traffic lights on N31 to the city is being replaced with a grade-separated interchange.

It's just a thought but I'm guess posting a police chase involving the Antwerpen ring is not appropriate here.

Harry Waters: Couldn't get enough of it, the medieval part of town.
Ken: It was just that initial, dual carriageway thing sort of put him off for a second.
Harry: Don't know if I remember a dual carriageway.
Ken: Must be recent.
Harry: Hasn't spoilt it, has it?

That's meaningless if you haven't seen "In Bruges".
