I was amused to see a temporary roadworks sign with the plate "Diwedd / End" ... in North Yorkshire!

What about the mini-roundabout 130 yards ahead of the sign?

Google Maps measurements puts it at 150m from the sign to the, erm, give way line

Shoutout to my local Highways department for the new temporary width restrictions on the A4226 scheme. Signs on the A48 warn of a 2.9m wide load restriction and instruct drivers to phone at the next laybys. The sign eastbound has been blown flat. The sign westbound says 'Wide loads (over 2.9m) phone 0.... Blank'. Nobody put the phone number in. It never ceases to amaze me how someone can go and put these signs out, take a step back and say 'this is fine.'

The very same advance width warning signs are the usual yellow text signs that can be difficult to read at speed because of information over flow. Because the Welsh ones have to include the Cymraeg version, the text is in the tiniest font imaginable. Trying to read it half tucked in a bush at NSL was interesting.

A roadworks sign on Suffolk Street Queensway heading N/B has a plate telling us they're "On A4127". Only A4127 is in London. So perhaps they mean B4127? Close, but no cigar, by the time you see this sign you've passed Holloway Circus where you would turn to access that road. Best just to ignore the number altogether.

From the SABRE Wiki: A4127 :

The A4127 is an urban A-road in west London.

It starts on the A3005 on Norwood Green. From here it heads north with the green to its left and Osterley Park behind the houses to the right. Soon the left side of the road becomes built-up and the right becomes open. After passing a cricket field we reach a roundabout junction with the B454 where the road bears left. It immediately goes over
