One thing which I noticed on the Liverpool map is that Dunnings Bridge Road (now A5036) was then the A567 (T).

Further north, the A74 Gretna bypass is under construction, while the A74 dual carriageway appears to terminate at around the point where the northbound slip road from Gretna Green would now join the A74(M). There would also appear to be a short link road from the A74 dual carriageway to the old A74 just before the dual carriageway ends. Southbound traffic heading from Glasgow/Lockerbie towards Springfield/Longtown would have presumably left the dual carriageway there, but traffic from Longtown/Springfield heading north towards Lockerbie/Glasgow would either have had to use the old A74 single carriageway (which is still shown in red as A74) to join the new dual carriageway at Kirkpatrick Fleming or use what is now the B7076 through Gretna Green in order to join the dual carriageway A74. The B721 has a completely different alignment, passing to the north of Gretna and the A75 and terminating by the Old Blacksmith's Shop.

Today's batch brings us up to some of the last few One Inch Seventh Series maps that were published, with a few from 1973 and 1974 - which is the final year any were produced, crossing over with early Landrangers. I believe the four 1974 sheets are actually the only ones in existence, meaning that oddly, it's the first year for which SABRE Maps has full coverage, despite being the youngest and running up against the copyright issues!

1973:
Sheet 10 (Tongue) Revision A//
Sheet 24 (North Skye) Revision A///
Sheet 67 (Ayr) Revision B/*
Sheet 120 (Burton upon Trent) Revision B/*/*
Sheet 128 (Montgomery and Llandrindod Wells) Revision B/*

1974:
Sheet 60 (Glasgow) Revision B/*/*/*
Sheet 61 (Falkirk and Lanark) Revision B/*/*
Sheet 83 (Penrith) Revision B/*/*
Sheet 85 (Durham) Revision B/*/*/*

Not surprisingly, the Glasgow sheet is probably my favourite, but there's actually quite a bit to see on all of them.

The Allestree Spur from the A6 to the A61 is also marked as the A61, so the A61 would appear to have two termini, one in Derby city centre and another on the A6.

On the Penrith sheet, the road from M6 Junction 41 (Catterlen) to the A6 at Stonybeck is shown in red as the A6. It is now the B5305.

On the Falkirk and Lanark map, the road north of Hamilton is shown in red as the A74, but the red line becomes brown on the Glasgow map, which suggests that the renumbering of the A74 as the B7071 must have taken place in 1973/74. The A74 southeast of Hamilton would appear to be the junior partner in a multiplex with the A72 between Larkhall and Hamilton town centre.

Further west, there is the temporary junction on the M8 at Southbar near Bishopton which allowed traffic on the A8 from Greenock heading to Glasgow the opportunity to join the M8 and vice versa, as the M8 north of Southbar flowed only onto the M898 at that time.

The even more temporary layout at the western end of the Renfrew Bypass at Southbar is visible on the 1968 revision - it literally crashes into the A8.

On the 1973 Burton sheet the A460 in Hednesford doesn't know whether it's still the B5013 in parts :)

One more sheet for today, again thanks to Owen b.

The 1960 layer has now had Revision A// of sheet 120 (Burton upon Trent) added to it.

And due to an unexpected bit of free time, I've just uploaded some more from 1964.

They are:

* Sheet 110 (Stoke on Trent) Revision B/*
* Sheet 159 (The Chilterns) Revision A/*//*
* Sheet 171 (London SE) Revision B
* Sheet 172 (Chatham and Maidstone) Revision A/*//*

One thing I've not noticed before is that the back roads for Sandbach services are marked, well before the services themselves open! Additionally, the A500 from M6 J16 is marked as under construction, and the earliest sheet so far to show the M4 Maidenhead and Slough Bypasses. There's also the complete M2 open, as well as the first stage of A20(M).

I particularly love M2 J4, where it appears to connect (before the A278 was constructed) to a little local lane!

Probably the last update for the year!

Today has seen the upload of the following:
* Sheet 87 (Isle of Man) Revision B
* Sheet 112 (Nottingham) Revision B/
* Sheet 147 (Bedford and Luton) Revision A///* (thanks to Owenb)
* Sheet 150 (Ipswich) Revision A//
* Sheet 173 (East Kent) Revision A/
* Sheet 181 (Chichester) Revision A/ (thanks to Nicholas)
* Sheet 183 (Eastbourne) Revision A/*

In addition to that lot, thanks to Nicholas providing a copy of Sheet 45 (Sound of Mull) Revision A/ (that hasn't been georeferenced or tiled yet), I've been able to confirm that the unidentified version of that sheet that's on the full layer is Revision A from 1956, and should be being added to that annual layer later this evening.

There are still 63 unidentified sheets from the full layer, which are the following list. Some of these are tentatively identified, but if anyone has paper copies of the missing revisions and wants to play spot the difference, then I'd appreciate it!
10 Tongue

Finally, this has been quite a busy year for this! I didn't expect it to quite be so successful, and I'd like to thank everyone who has taken an interest in SABRE Maps this year; and a special thanks to those people who have donated map scans (or lent me maps for scan and return) over the year. One year ago, we had a single layer that was still missing 8 maps for a total coverage of 182 map scans; of which none had the exact revision identified - simply that they were of out-of-copyright editions.

Now across all of the annual layers, we have the grand total of 294 identified sheets (plus the 63 unidentified ones, for a total of 357 sheets), at least one revision of every sheet published, 26 sheets for which we now hold every revision ever printed, 9 further sheets for which we have every out-of-copyright revision (as of today), and even one year (1974) for which we hold a copy of every sheet revised in that year.

In addition to that lot, we've also been able to add a number of maps at both Quarter Inch and Ten Mile scales, as well as the full OS OpenData 2018 1:250k GB coverage.

Sadly, we've not been able to add any more MoT maps as although we hold a number of scans they are all dissected maps and I don't have the Photoshop (or similar) skills to take the dissections out of the images so that they can be processed. If you do have these skills, I'd love to hear from you!

Over the next year, I hope to be able to add further Seventh Series maps, catch up with more Quarter Inch coverage, and start to turn attention to the post-war New Popular Edition sheets, of which again we have a single layer of unidentified editions. I also hold personally a number of Ordnance Survey of Ireland Half-Inch sheets that start to go out-of-copyright next year.

After spending the first six weeks (or so) of the year catching up on Quarter Inch coverage, it's a return to additional One Inch sheets today.

Newly added are the following, all now available on the 1959 layer:

* Sheet 102 (Huddersfield) Revision A/
* Sheet 147 (Bedford and Luton) Revision A//
* Sheet 168 (Winchester) Revision A
* Sheet 184 (Hastings) Revision A (thanks to drm567)

Going backwards in time is a little odd, as the differences tend to be things disappearing! For example, the Hastings sheet shows the A20 Ashford Bypass (now mostly M20) without its roundabouts at either end; whilst the Bedford and Luton one is odd as it was published just before the opening of the first section of M1, yet it is not marked as under construction.

The addition of the Huddersfield sheet also confirms that the unknown revision from the full layer is the A revision (even though most of it is hidden under the Leeds and Bradford sheet...), and so that's down to 62 unknown revisions. The full sheet therefore needs adding to a new 1954 layer, which I'll do at the next available opportunity.

EDIT: The Bedford and Luton sheet on the full coverage map is actually an unknown revision, but the original "best guess" puts it as Revision A//, the same as has been added here. If people could help play detective and confirm that they cannot find any differences, it would be appreciated!

After a pause for life getting busy, thanks to drm567 providing the map scan, Sheet 173 (East Kent) Revision A has now gone online.

You'll be able to find it on the 1960 layer.

After an insane busy period in life, Maps has just popped its head back up to show things are still going on!

Today's addition is the B/* revision of Sheet 143 (Gloucester and Malvern). It can be found on the 1973 layer.

Yes, absolutely. That and your website are the two most useful references I know of for Seventh Series data for our purposes.

A set of maps have been uploaded today to the 1972 layer.

They are:

* Sheet 101 (Manchester) Revision C/*
* Sheet 144 (Cheltenham and Evesham) Revision B/*
* Sheet 157 (Swindon) Revision B/*

The latter two mean that we have a whole stripe of coverage from Wolverhampton in the north to Marlborough in the south, including sections of M4, M5, M50 and M96, plus a whole area of New Town in Swindon amongst others.

The Manchester sheet is always fun, featuring parts of M56 and A5103 with unfinished junctions at either end; a couple of mapping errors showing the M56 Airport Spur as being unclassified as are the slip roads at J4; a mostly built M62/M63/M602 junction; the first section of M66; and something that I can't recall seeing on any other map - "City Centre" marked as a district name.

And a further batch from 1971, namely:

* Sheet 103 (Doncaster) Revision C/
* Sheet 112 (Nottingham) Revision C/*
* Sheet 134 (Huntingdon and Peterborough) Revision B/

There's a few fun things dotted around this lot, for example, the A18(M) under construction, M1 J33 (correctly) shown completed but not opened, the A615 (now A38) around Alfreton, and a few other goodies that I'll let people find for themselves.
