In Memoriam - Fahad 1996 - 2019

Post by exiled »

it is with deep sadness that we received the following e-mail from the family of SABRE member Fahad.

I know there will be many on here who will have fond memories of Fahad.
For those who aren't aware, Fahad passed away on the 16th of December 2019.

He will always be loved and our family will forever be grateful for how kind and thoughtful everyone has been over these past weeks.

We will be holding a burial on Wednesday the 22nd a memorial on Sunday the 26th, all the details are available at fahad-sadah.muchloved.com . Everyone is welcome to attend and it would be lovely to see everybody so we can share memories together.

For those that know my parents, please could I ask that their privacy be respected at this time.

If you would like to get in contact please message me through Facebook or any other medium.

If you have any photos or memories that you would like to share, please post them on the tribute page linked for everyone to see so we can all celebrate how wonderful he was together.

Please share this post to anyone that knew him - He had so many friends and connections and any help reaching everyone that knew him would be amazingly appreciated.

Sending all my love Fahad, we miss you so much.
Thank you

A massive loss to the world. Having met him a few times he was one of the nicest guys you could meet.

I was shocked this evening to hear the news about Fahad. I met him only once - at the last AGM - but we chatted for over an hour and got on so well that we went outside to take a look at each other's cars! I had been looking forward to seeing him again this year. He was an absolutely lovely guy, so vibrant and amiable.

I'm gutted by this.

Last time I saw him he was on a road trip with a few of us and he was extremely patient given I had a very young Silas with me and I had to do an emergency nappy change at M62 J11.

Will be much missed. I really hope there's a better place he's gone to.

He was a popular participant at many northern awaydays and this was the last thing I expected from someone so young

So sorry to hear about this. Though I’ve never met him, as a fellow young Sabristi I wish his family all the best.

This came as a huge shock, very sad news indeed. I chatted with him at some length at the 2019 AGM, mostly about buses as he had been a driver at Stagecoach Manchester's Princess Road depot for a while, a depot I had compiled schedules for in the early 1980's. I had been intending to send him some copies of rotas I had from that period, but "never quite got round to it".

That's terrible news.

Fahad was a lovely guy and we often talked about places we both knew, as he attended lectures in what was left of my university and used to enjoy telling me all about what he called "relics".

He also spent quite a bit of time picking apart Maps code for me, and helped me (a non-developer) understand how it worked.

I wish I could attend his service but unfortunately I'm working this weekend.

I didn't know him as well as some around here but I remember him from (I think) the Rugby awayday back in 2008. Found him to be an agreeable young chap.

This is sad news. :(

That's pretty sad to hear, especially since he's only 4 years older than me.

Very sorry to hear of the tragic passing of this very young man. :( 23 - he had his whole life ahead of him.

May he cruise the highways of the sky along with the other Sabristis we collectively remember, mourn and cherish.

Good Lord - this is a shock. Fahad was such a delightful individual with a very dry sense of humour. I had a very enjoyable time with him at one of the AGMs a while back.

He'll be missed within the SABRE family.
Opinion is purely my own and all those other exceptions and excuses.
