Lane Destination Markings @Roundbouts

Post by squashgym »

As per the subject, more specifically the text and destination names/route numbers used, is there any written guidance on the number of lines of text that should be used? Generally I think it's 3, no more than 4, but I can't find it confirmed anywhere - thanks.

Yes I do have a copy of Ch5 thank you. If you're saying the answer is actually in there, would you be kind enough to highlight the relevant section, because I can't find anywhere that says how many lines of text/destinations should be used max. Thanks

I've always worked on a rule of thumb that any more than 3 lines is excessive but that's just derived from common sense and knowing how difficult to read text at any speed becomes when there's other traffic and/or signals to also pay attention to.

There isn't actually any reference whatsoever to a maximum number of lines in section 9 of Chapter 5. Bit of an oversight perhaps.
