A8(M) Baillieston

Post by SirKnoes »

There currently aren't any threads dedicated the this new little Motorway, so i though i would start one. The A8(M) is not only the newest motorway to arrive in Great Britain, but is also arguably the new shortest motorway. Feel free to leave all your thoughts and updates here. :)

It's a good idea to create a specific thread but it's not clear whether SirKnoes is aware that the Baillieston A8(M) has been under discussion in the "Most motorways per junction" thread.

I was probably rather more excited than I should have been when I spotted the A8(M) sign while stuck in traffic on the M73 northbound this afternoon. :)

Yes I am aware, and that's part of the reason why I created a specific thread.

Does this mean that the A8(M) takes the crown from the A635(M) as the shortest motorway in the UK?

Yes, it does. I've done the maths on the relevant PM page for the new A8(M).

Personally, I'm still looking forward to seeing what the chopsticks say, given that by definition one of the flag signs at either end is wrong.
