I don't think that this has been posted before; I think it has been kept to add to the tourist vibe of the village rather than having been overlooked for modernisation:

Spotted a couple in Kirriemuir yesterday, which don't appear to have been mentioned before.

Another one I can't recall having been posted before: Abbey Hulton, Stoke on Trent --

Looks decidedly home made to me - is there a streetview link? I've been up and down the A30 east of Hook on GSV and turned up nothing.

Google isn’t letting me link.

The sign is just past A30 Car Sales and A30 Car Wash. if only there were a possible reason or two for a sign saying A30 and looking somewhat hand made.

It looked pretty vintage to me, but I was pressing on a long journey up the A30! So, alas, I wasn't able to take a really close look.

Aha - yes, home made and not that old. Here it is in 2016. Sorry!

I don't think this one for the A56 at Elslack has been mentioned. Seems to suggest it's a crossroads when it really isn't - was this just a standard design?

I also unexpectedly stumbled across that one today and suspected that it was the one you'd posted.

Did you see the 'Start of 30mph' sign on one of the other streets?

No, first I've seen of it. I'll have to go now. Oh, just discovered it's another Sandhurst, I didn't know there was one. Maybe not now.

The charming village of Bilton, just outside Rugby, boasts this beauty.

Is it a candidate? Street name signs aren't normally thought of as falling within the Worboys/pre-Worboys category, but the arrow at the end of this looks very pre-Worboys to me.
