Ysbyty is, of course, an adaptation of hospital.

This on the southbound Selsfield Road, just south of its junction with Ardingly Road, near Selsfield Common.

Entering this part of Selsfield Road, from the southbound B2028 drivers are likely to have indicated left to show they are leaving the through route of the B2028, however this would involve very little steering input so indicators would not self cancel after the junction, this sign is positioned about 100 metres down the road.

I've seen shed loads of height limits, width limits and weight limits but this is the only length limit I remember.

We've got these on Dinas road, Brecon. They also qualify for manky signs.

That's a 1964 HGV symbol on a sign that wasn't introduced until 1975 (and the HGV symbol had changed by then). That is VERY rare.

All introduced around the village of Rotherfield because of HGVs damaging buildings making the tight turn by the pub.

This is pretty rare: https://goo.gl/maps/TahJ2umGqeWysXh8A

The right-angle bend on B645 in Kimbolton is pretty well-known to us here, of course, but "No car transporters" must still be a special authorisation, and I guess is because of the upper-deck overhang above the cab.

I wonder what a symbol for a car transporter might look like?

I suspect it's something to do with this. All those cars will need a lot of car transporters, and they really should be using the A6 and A45 rather than trying to go cross-country through Kimbolton to reach the A14.

I come across this on Saturday, near Mostyn (North Wales). I don't ever recall seeing a sign like this before... This example is clearly 'aged'.

Jolly good!

I noticed a few semi-covered up CAZ Zone signs near Glazebury the last time I was out that way a few months ago.
The journey is never over until the arrival.

posted that one a while back. it certainly caught my eye going down hill into Mostyn. there were quite a few manky/faded warning signs around there too.

What's this in Swansea? A lesser spotted legitimate "pass either side"!

Interesting. None of the ones I saw were covered up, there was just a black on yellow temporary sign on a stand in front.

How many new direction signs have been installed because of the CAZ? I've noted a couple near me on the border so to speak. The one below has appeared at the A56 / A50 cross roads in Grappenhall. It seems better than the old version which had a few mistakes.

How about this? A legitimate pass either side prism sign. Unfortunately not there any more as the carriageways now split much further back, with no sign at all.

Just next to that, another rare sign. Though I don't think it should be blue, this isn't a motorway.

Driving on the A66 yesterday, there are three unusual signs to warn you of tanks and armoured cars crossing at Warcop and a pair of yellow warning lights which will flash when the army is crossing the road in their armoured vehicles. I can't think of seeing these signs anywhere else.
