When you need to move a giant excavator the size of a school gym, how do you get it across the road?
Simple. You build a new road around it.

Komdraai Colliery is 20 miles from Khwezela Colliery. The map on the video is inverted. The route crossed the N4 national highway so they built a short oxbow diversion to keep the traffic flowing while the machine walked across the road.

Phenomenal. Several years ago, my brother worked at one of the nearby collieries and I remember seeing these collossal machines when I visited him.

The UK had a similar event in 1974 when Sundew went for a wander near Corby.
