Church Lane, Thorley on the outskirts of Bishop's Stortford after construction of the A1184 By-Pass. The road now passes over the A1184 here. The house on the left of the picture has survived the construction of the road.

Nice that they could use the old bridge to hold the new one up ;-)

Thank you for these - another scheme I was involved in:-)

If I recall correctly, one of the roundabouts had a photocell to control the streetlights located very close to one of the lights. This gave rise to a number of calls asking why the street lights were flashing.

Glad that you like the pictures, I have more to add. It's great to have them on here so that people can see them, all of my pictures have been in a photo album for years and nobody (except me) ever gets to view them.

I'm not sure how to add my before and after pictures to the relevant SABRE Wiki page but if anyone else on here want's to add them then that's ok with me. The only thing that I would point out is that I had to reduce the quality of the pictures (to 500 kb) to get them on here so although they are ok the quality has been reduced. Also I still have more pictures to add in the next few days.

The A289 Medway Towns By-Pass, Kent. The first picture shows part of a sports field off Cornwallis Avenue, Gillingham, Kent. The second picture shows how the A289 now runs through what was a sports field and the dual carriageway now has a roundabout at Cornwallis Avenue. The houses link both pictures.
