B863 Invercoe Bridge replacement
It had been assessed in recent years as Highland Council's bridge most in need of replacement and that is now taking place.
A contract worth £5.5 million was awarded to Story Contracting, who got underway with construction in December.
The new bridge will be two spans with a central pier in the river, it will be slightly longer than the current bridge as the south abutment will moved back from the main river channel.
To allow demolition of the existing bridge and construction of the new one a temporary bridge has been put in place on the downstream side which will allow a single lane of traffic under temporary traffic signals.
The contractor is only permitted to work in the water between January and March, so demolition and construction of the new pier will take place over the next few weeks. The bridge is expected to be complete by the autumn, with remaining work in the river to be completed by March 2023.

From the SABRE Wiki: Invercoe Bridge :
The original bridge over the River Coe at Invercoe was built in the same style as the Kinlochleven Viaduct, but didn't bear a date. It was constructed from the Mass Concrete that was used on most bridges along the A82 in the 1920s and 1930's. There were four spans across the river, which used all of them at spring high tides.
