Peljesac Bridge, Croatia

Post by FleetlinePhil »

Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere, I can't locate anything.

The 2.4km long Peljesac bridge has been opened in Croatia, linking the two parts of Croatia without the need to cross the Bosnian Neum corridor en route. Looks impressive!

I'm guessing the D674 road is fully open and operational? It'd be interesting to see if how much time will actually be saved by this. Guessing if you catch the border on a quiet day and you're just in a car/bike carrying no goods for checking, it could still be as quick to head through Neum. Not for one minute saying it isn't a worthwhile project, it looks great and for any vehicle carrying goods it'll be great to avoid customs checks. Just think it would be interesting to see someone do a 'race'.
