The A1177 was a short-lived road near Hull. It was originally the northern end of the B1232 but came into being in the 1970s. The road was renumbered as part of a rerouted A164 in 1984 and regained its original number in 1991.
The road started on the A1105 Boothferry Road to the north of Hessle. From here the B1232 headed south into town whilst the A1177 headed north along Beverley Road. After bearing left to avoid the centre of Anlaby the B1231 came in from the left along Tranby Lane. Our road continued a short distance further to end on the A164 Springfield Way.
