This article is about the original A3062, which was and is part of the A287.
For the current A3062 in Bath, see A3062.

For some reason, the original section of the A287 west of the A32 was renumbered A3062 in 1926. It kept this number until 1935 before reverting back to its original number.
The road left the A30 to the west of Hook and headed southwest to bypass the town, ending on the A32 after little over a mile.
The road has been rerouted with the building of the M3 and following the former A3062 is now not immediately obvious. It forms the driveway of the Highways Agency's Hook Depot and reappears in Derby Fields.
