The A5184 is a short link road in the Longsight area of Manchester. Originally the southern end of the B5221, the road gained its current number in the 1960s, around the same time as the A34 was moved onto its current route. The A5184 is called Plymouth Grove for its entire length.
The road starts at traffic lights on the A34 Upper Brook Street on the edge of the Manchester University campus. It heads southeast along a road that was obviously once residential - but there are now large green areas lining the road and we are only lined with houses for certain sections. Most of the buildings are modern but there are still a couple of older ones.
The road is largely straight but presently it bends to the left to end at traffic lights on the A6 Stockport Road.
