|Route outline (key)|
The A5301 ran along part of the Nantwich southern bypass.
The road started at traffic lights on the A51, where that road moves from the bypass onto its original route south. The A5301 then headed west along Peter Destapleigh Way, skirting the southern edge of town, with a few roads off to the right to serve housing estates. The road soon ended at another set of traffic lights on the A529.
The A5301 was built in the 1990s and opened with that number, which was short-lived. In the 2000s all Class I roads were removed from the centre of Nantwich; the A5301 therefore became the mainline of the A530.
