Abernant Interchange is an interchange created for the 2010 Ryder Cup, to provide improved access to Celtic Manor Golf Course. Since the event ended, the slip roads have been barricaded off, and beyond use as an emergency access to remove traffic from the A449 after an incident[1], it looks unlikely to be opened permanently, despite calls to do so [2]
