The Airport Roundabout in Weston-super-Mare was constructed as part of the Flowerdown Bridge project to provide the town with a dualled link to the M5 Motorway. It lies a little to the east of the original alignment for the A371. The name comes from Weston's Airport, which lies to the south west of the junction, and was constructed during World War Two. It was later used by Westlands Helicopters, but is now earmarked for a major expansion of the town.
