Alconbury East Interchange is a grade-separated junction that was a spur of the A14. North of the junction the road is a motorway as it leads inescapably to the A1(M).
This junction also has a rare thing, a closed McDonald's. This McDonalds was shaped like a ufo and was advertised as services. These closed when Cambridge & Peterborough services open in the early 00's. There is also a closed truckstop opposite.
