Apley Roundabout is located on the A5223 in Telford. It was originally planned as a grade separated roundabout with the A5223 running below the junction. The A442 Queensway which terminates at Shawbirch Roundabout was intended to connect to this junction and head northeast through where the hospital now stands. All the major roads approaching the junction were planned as dual carriageways, including Apley Avenue. The only road built as planned is Grainger Drive.
