This article is about the original B1062 in the south of Suffolk.
For the current B1062 in the north of the same county, see B1062.
For the current B1062 in the north of the same county, see B1062.
The B1062 was the original number allocated to the road along the River Stour from Baythorne End to Long Melford.
It started just inside Essex at Bayford End and headed east, almost immediately crossing Baythorn Bridge across the Stour into Suffolk. It then followed the river downstream to end on the northern side of the centre of Long Melford.
The road did not keep this number long; in the early 1920s it was upgraded to become the A1092, which it remains.
