The B1073 is a short link road on the edge of Ipswich town centre. The road was originally unclassified, only gaining its number in the 1980s. Some maps claim the road as a spur of the B1075.
The road starts at traffic lights on the A137 just south of that road's bridge over the River Orwell. It heads west along Burrell Road, bearing right at traffic lights almost immediately then continuing parallel to the river, which is hidden behind the houses on the right. Soon the road reaches the station, on the left of the road, where it ends at traffic lights on the B1075 where that road TOTSOs.
