The original route allocated to the number B1073 was a rural road in west Suffolk.
The B1073 started on the B1070 (now A1141) to the south of Semer and headed north then east through Bildeston, Hitcham and Great Finborough to Stowmarket, where it ended on the now-unclassified original line of the A45.
The entire road was renumbered as part of the B1115 in 1935, giving that road a spur.
