The B1079 is a rural B-road in east Suffolk.
It starts in two separate places on the B1438 (former A12) in Woodbridge, owing to the one-way system. Outbound traffic goes along Quay Street whereas inbound traffic goes along New Street. Both routes converge in Market Hill before the B1079 continues west along Burkett Road before TOTSOing left to meet the A12 at a roundabout.
The B1079 continues west of Woodbridge through Grundisburgh. It meets the B1078 and is the dominant number in a multiplex before that road leaves and the B1079 continues north through Otley. The B1079 ends soon afterwards on the B1077 by the edge of the park in Helmingham.
