In the 1922 Road Lists the B1137 is given as Norwich (St Giles Street and London Street).
It started near the RC Cathedral on the A1024 city centre bypass, then headed east. It passed St Giles's Church and City Hall before going round the castle mound and ending on the A47.
It is assumed that the B1137 number lasted until the construction of the present ring road in the 1970s which declassified all the roads within. London Street is now pedestrianised.
