|Route outline (key)|
The B1299 is a short east-west road in northeast County Durham.
It starts on the A184 in East Boldon and heads roughly eastwards. It crosses the Newcastle to Sunderland railway line at a level crossing adjacent to East Boldon metro station before continuing through Cleadon. It reaches the A1018 in the centre of the village.
Until the 2000s, the B1299 ended there. However, it has now been extended following a short multiplex south along the A1018. After entering open country it regains its number and heads east along the previously unclassified Moor Lane. It ends on the A183 coast road in Whitburn, although the sea is not visible from here.
