The B182 allows NW-SW traffic between the B181 and the B1393 and vice versa to bypass the centre of Epping.
It starts at a triangular junction on the B181 near Bury Farm (the site of Waltham Abbey's pre-Reformation Eppingbury manor) and heads roughly southwards. It passes almost no buildings at all before reaching the outskirts of Epping and a mini-roundabout junction with the B1393 (former A11) in the Bell Common area of the town. The road ends here.
