The B186 is a link road in north County Londonderry. It was originally unclassified but gained its number in the late 1920s.
The road starts on the A37 at Macsoquin, to the southwest of Coleraine, and heads south along Cashel Road. We skirt the eastern side of a quarry (the original line of the road has been lost) before the road straightens out. We continue across the fields to the southwest along a largely straight road. Presently we reach journey's end at a T-junction on the B66.
