The B2049 ran from Acol to Margate in Kent.
It started on the then-B2048 on the northern edge of Acol and headed northeast. It crossed the B2050 at a staggered crossroads before continuing on to end on the A254 to the south of Margate town centre.
The B2049 was declassified in the early 1990s. The easternmost section retains its Class II status as part of the B2052, although this is one-way westbound.
