The B2096 is a medium-length B-road heading west of Battle in Sussex. It manages a journey of almost 10 miles without reaching any classified roads except for the two at either end.
It starts at a fork on the A271 west of Battle, on the edge of Beechdown Wood. The 1922 Road Lists claim it starts at the Squirrel Inn; this is still in existence but is a short distance west along the A271 and so invisible from this junction.
The B2096 heads north to Netherfield where it turns to head west. It climbs to Wood's Corner before descending to Earl's Down and then goes through Punnett's Town and Cade Street. Finally the road terminates at traffic lights on the A265 in Heathfield.
