The B2128 is a medium-length B-road, mostly in the Surrey Hills. It runs parallel to the A281.
It starts on the edge of Shalford at a TOTSO with the A248 and goes southwards across Wonersh Common into Wonersh. The road splits at a triangular junction in the central square. A branch turns right and heads to Bramley where it ends at a mini-roundabout on the A218. The ancient fingerpost in Wonersh gives this road its original number which is B2129, but Ordnance Survey maps now show it as a spur of the B2128.
The mainline bends sharply left at this junction before continuing southeastwards. It goes through Shamley Green and the long, thin village of Rowly before reaching a roundabout where it meets the B2130. Now in Cranleigh, it passes the start of the B2127 at a mini roundabout in the centre of the village.
After Cranleigh the B2128 heads roughly eastwards up Longhurst Hill, then southwards again through Ellen's Green and Cox Green, where it enters Sussex. Almost the whole of the Sussex section of the B2128 is comprised of the long village of Rudgwick. After over a mile the road terminates at a 'give way' sign at a junction with the A281.
