The original route of the B2132 was a short link road north of the Sussex town of Horsham.
The road was important enough to be upgraded to Class I status later on and became the A2022 in the mid-1930s. It retained its own unique number for a short time, however, as the road became a spur of the A29 in 1935. It has since been declassified.
